Tapered unpainted wooden shaft 42 cm 16 1/2" in length, 2.2 cm 1/2" at longest diameter, with cone, 5 cm 2" tall, 6.5 cm 2 1/2" at longest diameter, 3 cm 1" from tip of shaft. Cone is terra cotta colour with fine carving on top and inscription on sides trans. "IOANA NIKOLAON TASIKA GIFT IN MEMORY FROM PAPA ENTHIMION 1982";Purchased by donor's first husband Patrick Lawson, a well-known Bouzouki player in the Greek community, circa 1990 on a visit to Thessaloniki searching for old musical instruments.;Located in museum, weaving case
