A: 41.5 x 8cm, 16" x 3" to point diameter, carved and tinted on one edge, 2 circular pieces 6.5 cm or 2 1/2" in diameter, 0.75 cm or 1/4" thick, slotted in 9 cm or 3 1/2" from point carved floral motif tinted green and red, verso carved hearts - inscription "Panaitis Stoumnos 1965"B: 53 cm 20 3/4" total length, 45.5 cm 18" point to edge of insert;located in the museum in weaving case;Purchased by donor's first husband Patrick Lawson, a well-known Bouzouki player in the Greek community, circa 1990 on visit to Thessaloniki searching for old musical instrument. Before his death in 2003 he played at the Sea View Restaurant (Ari Agryriou) and the Olive Grove (George Ghinis), Greek Fest and numerous other venues.
