25 x 22.5 cm 10" x 9" handwoven ecru cotton embroidered 3 sides with varicoloured cotton threads, short fringe knotted in on 2 sides, fourth side hemmed.Small label "Greece piece 9" x 10" embroidered 3 sides 17 encircled 12" attached with safety pin;collected by Mary Ellen Palin (Nellie) between 1910 and 1927 while English governess to Lavria Averof in Athens Greece
