180 x 13 cm 70" x 5" round strip made up of 6 pieces of varied length of handwoven cotton embroidered in brown and varicolored cotton thread, slightly slanted as for a gored skirt. One edge hemmed other unfinished.small label "Greek strip pink white pale green 6 encircled" attached with safety pin, small label "48 D grant" stapled on removed, small label "24" removed;collected by Mary Eleanor Palin (Nellie) between 1910 and 1927 while English governess to Lavria Averof in Athens Greece
