Description
All stamps are 3.5 cm ± 0.50cm x 2.5cm ± 0.50cm, 1.4 ± 0.20 x 0.98 ± 0.20. A collection of 21 Greek and 3 Italian stamps, printed from 1951 to 1971. Many are imprinted with stamps relating to their date of acquisition, and feature the faces of royalty. The stamps included are as follows: One 300 drachma postage stamp printed in Greece, in 1950, with ΕΛΛΑΣ - ∆P. 300 written on it. The stamp is a bright orange colour, and has a woman wearing Dodecanese clothing in the center, with ΔΩΔΕΚΑÎΗΣΙΑΚΗ ΕÎΔΥΜΑΣΙΑ written above her. The stamp was part of the 1950 Dodecanese Integration series, and printed at the Aspioti ELKA printing house. One 5000 drachma postage stamp printed in Greece, in 1951, with ΕΛΛΑΣ - ∆P. 5000 written on it. The stamp was commissioned as financial assistance to the Marshall Plan, in a six stamp Reconstruction series that represent the reconstruction of different economic sectors. On the top of the stamp, ΑνασυγκÏοτισις is written, and the image in the center of the stamp shows the electrification of Greece (in the process of reconstruction). The stamp was printed by the De La Rue company in the Aspioti ELKA printing house in September 1951, and was retired in February 1958. Two 7.50 drachma postage stamps printed in Greece, between 1948 to 1957. Each stamp has ΕΛΛΑΣ - ∆PX.7.50 written on it. The stamp is a deep orange colour, and features King Paul of the Hellenes in the center. Above King Paul is the word ΠΑΥΛΟΣ, and a royal crown. Two 30 letpa postage stamps printed in Greece, 1955, with ΕΛΛΑΣ – 30 ΛΕΠΤΑ written on it. The stamp is a deep brown colour, which features the Head of Pericles as the centerpiece, as a part of the Ancient Greek Art series of 1955. Two 20 lepta postage stamps printed in Greece, 1955, with ΕΛΛΑΣ – Λ.20 written on it. The stamp is a pale dark blue-green, and features an Oxhead Vase as the centerpiece, as a part of the Ancient Greek Art series of 1955. Four 2 drachma postage stamps printed in Greece, in 1956, with ΕΛΛΑΣ - ∆PX.2 written on it. A headshot of King Paul of the Hellenes is in the center of the black and white stamp. Four 5 drachma postage stamps printed in Greece, in 1956, with ΕΛΛΑΣ - ∆PX.5 written on it. The stamp is coloured a deep red, and features King Paul and the Queen Consort Frederica of Hanover in the center. One 3.50 drachma postage stamp printed in Greece, in 1956, with ΕΛΛΑΣ - ∆PX. 3.50 written on it. The stamp is a light bronze colour, and features Queen consort Sofia in the center of the stamp, with ΣΟΦΙΑ written in the top right corner. One 20 lepta postage stamp printed in Greece, in 1956, with ΕΛΛΑΣ – Λ.20 written on it. The stamp is a deep violet colour, and features the Crown Prince Constantine in the center of the stamp, with ΔΙΑΔΟΧΟΣ ΚΟÎΣΤΑÎΤΙÎΟΣ written on the top of the stamp. Two 50 lepta postage stamps printed in Greece, in 1957, with ΕΛΛΑΣ – Λ.50 written on it. The stamp is coloured a deep green, and features Queen Olga of Greece in the center of the stamp, with ΟΛΓΑ written in the top left corner. One 1 drachma postage stamp printed in Greece, in 1957, with ΕΛΛΑΣ - ∆PX.1 written on it. The stamp is coloured a deep red, and features Queen consort Amalia of Oldenburg in the center of the stamp, with Αμαλια written in the top right corner, underneath a crown Two 25 lira postage stamps printed in Italy, in 1957, with a stoplight and Prudenza Sulla Strada (caution on the road) written on it.
